01/19/2010: Hunted my first day at the Heartshorne park. I did not see a deer and maybe one shot was fired. It was very slow.

11/05/2009: Bill Brown his two boys and I had gone out for an afternoon hunt. I was in the tree with Zack and Bill was in the tree with Noah. We were in the tree for 5 minutes and a BIG 8 pointer came up behind us. He did not stay long it seemed he was on a trail of a hot doe. Almost if he was just a little closer. Noah also had a shot on a small button buck but at the last minute the buck took off.

09/26/2009: I went out in zone 13 for a morning hunt. This was my first time out in the woods for the 09 hunting season. I saw a total of 7 deer, two nice 5 pointers and 5 does. I was able to get my Earn A Buck doe out of the way. I captured the kill on video using two angles. I filmed the shot from the tree and my ground camera also captured the shot from another angle.
Bill Brown took both Noah and Zack out for the youth bow hunt. They saw lots of nice deer but nothing to shoot at.
09/22/2009: Just got back from scouting and setting up my North Jersey Stand. The spot looks good and I will be out Friday Morning. I hope to get my Earn A BUCK DOE out of the way. I just hope to see deer. Load of them up there I'm sure I will see a few. I'll keep you guys posted.
September 2009: All of us have been out. like always the ticks and chiggers stink. Lots of good deer activity up North Jersey. Opening day is now upon us. Good luck to all. I look forward to seeing you hunting photos.
July 2009: Been seeing a few deer around. Its way to hot to be out scouting and the ticks and chiggers in the south will eat you alive. We have been up north once and it looks great. We plan to have scouting cams out soon and some mineral plots set up. We hope to get some early season kills with hunt nut boys....
TURKEY STUFF: Jesse and I have permits for turkey zone 14. We have been out just a little and found nothing too much just some track. I think its been a little to cold but hopefully the weather will start getting nice and we will see some good stuff soon. We hope to get out with the OUTDOOR ADDICTION TEAM to film and hunt, we also plan to get out with the HUNT NUT boys from PA. I will keep you guys posted.
Our turkey season has ended. We overall had a good season for beginners at turkey hunting. During D week we were on birds everyday and missed one. Now its time to fish. See everyone in the fall.
05/08/09: I was out in Colliers Mills WMA. I got on several birds and a few nice toms. I got them calling back to me but they were not leaving the hens. Overall I had a blast and learned much this year turkey hunting.
05/07/09: Well D week is a wet mess. I went out this morning in Greenwood State Forest off of Route 539. I was lucky enough to find a nice tom in a field. After messing around with him for about 20 minutes I was able to get a shot off........ Dang would you believe I miss this dude. I think having a snap on fiber optic site made me shoot high, well that's what i'm sticking with. I packed up and made my way to Colliers Mills WMA. I located three toms and three hens. I got within 80 yards of them but they were not leaving the hens.
04/22/2009: Today I went out with Julio from Outdoors Addiction. Man we covered some ground and located a few birds. We did manage to get a nice bird on the ground and we also saw a giant swinger but he wasn't falling for the ladies. Later in the day while I was at work I found a BIG Waretown long beard. He was strutting for some hens and now I know where he is. Maybe I can hook this guy up on D week.
04/20/2009: I have been out scouting and found lots of turkey sign. I wont be out again hunting until D week and maybe I can get another bird on the ground.
04/16/2009: I did it. I went out in Colliers Mills WMA turkey zone 14 week A and located a bird. He did respond so I relocated to another location where I located 4 long beards. It took a few hours but I was lucky enough to get the big tom within gun range. The bird weighed 20 pounds, both spurs were 1 inch and he had a 9 inch beard. Now its time to get jesse a bird.
04/14/2009: On the 13th I roosted a bird in one of our hunting spots. I believed it was the same bird as Saturday. Julio from the Outdoor Addiction Team offered to come with us and call. We were on the bird fast and sadly we had the same results as Saturday. Got some more good footage but not good enough. I hope to get out Thursday and Friday.
04/13/2009: Jesse and I went out on a late morning turkey hunt in Colliers Mills. We got one bird to gobble at us. He was far off and we closed the distance. We got to an area where we thought he was and sure enough he stepped out onto the trail and saw us. WOW those guys can run fast....
04/11/2009: Today was the opening day of the New Jersey Youth Turkey Hunt. I was so very lucky to have Steve Behun of HuntNut.com who drove to New Jersey to call for my son Jesse in hopes to get his first bird while I videoed the hunt. On the 10th I located a big tom and we set up on him for the youth hunt. We got on this bird in seconds and filmed him for over 6 hours. He came into range however there was a new chicken wire fence the land owner had put up and the bird would not jump or fly over it. I hope to get Jesse out again and put him back on the bird. I would like to thank Steve for the excellent calling this morning. We had a blast even though we got our butts wet.
Sunday the 12th I plan to get out with Julio and check some spots out. Monday we are going to get a bird on the ground. Stay tuned.
04/04/2009: Mason and I just got back from a 5 hours walk in Greenwood Forest deer zone 21/turkey zone 14. We saw 5 turkey one big fat tom, one jake and 3 hen. This is now a point of interest for us and we hope to find them on youth day for Jesse.
The season is coming to a fast end for us here in NJ. I went out today and scouted our zone 13 stand. Lots of old buck sign and lots of track. I'm going to try to get out for the last two Saturdays for some late winter bow hunting. I mite have Mike E from huntnut.com filming the hunts. I did to my surprise ran into a guy near my stand. It was a local guy and he had found my stands, trail cam and feeder. All of my stuff is unlocked and has never been messed with and I was glad to meet this fellow hunter.
01/30/2008: I took a nice doe tonight in Colliers Mills WMA. I saw a total of 5 deer and was able to get a shot at a big doe early. I captured this hunt on video.
